Prepare for Pumping
How to Prepare for Your Septic Pumping Appointment
1. Ensure the Septic Tank Cover is Accessible
-
If your tank cover is buried, please dig it up ahead of time.
-
If the cover is locked, please unlock it before our technician arrives.
-
If the cover is damaged or hard to access, let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
2. Have Water Readily Available
-
Please make sure there is a working hose and water source nearby.
-
This helps with tank rinsing and clean-up if needed.
3. Clear the Area Around the Tank
-
Remove any obstacles such as furniture, vehicles, or heavy debris that may block access to the tank.
-
Trim back bushes or overgrowth that may obstruct the cover.
4. Secure Pets & Children
-
For everyone's safety, keep pets and children indoors or at a safe distance during the service.
5. County or Inspection Forms
-
If you have a form from the county or local agency that needs to be completed as proof of service, please have it ready.
-
Our technician will be happy to fill it out during the visit.
6. Know Your System Location
-
If you're not sure where your septic tank is located, we recommend locating it ahead of time.
-
If needed, we can help with location services (additional fees may apply).
